This year’s conference is all about creatives, advocates, and organizations that work to lift up marginalized groups with impactful design. Through panels, speakers, and creative workshops, we hope to celebrate people of diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Interventions: Amplify is the only student-led design conference that brings people together on the Northeastern Campus and online to engage in an inclusive discussion about design and learn from disproportionately underrepresented communities of talented makers.
We’re Scout, Northeastern’s student-led design organization, and we’ll be your gracious hosts this April 9th! We are a group of 77 students who work with real-world clients each semester and plan bi-weekly events for the Northeastern design community. We also practice design thinking for community partners through our Scout Labs arm, work on animation, photo and video projects with Scout Production, as well as plan and execute our annual design conference, Interventions, for the greater Boston creative community.
Hi there! We’re the conference team, a group of 25 students behind this year’s interventions conference (it’s nice to meet you!) We span across four fabulous teams: Design, Development, Marketing, and User Experience that are carefully creating everything about this design experience. From this website to the layout of the event; signage, social posts and marketing included, we are doing as much as we can to create the best day ever.
Our completely student-led event would not be possible without the hard work from a team of passionate students in Scout and the generous support from a variety of organizations and companies that have helped us along the way. Interested in getting involved? We’re still looking for sponsors, volunteers and companies looking to network or sell their goods. Our marketplace and networking space will provide students and professionals a chance to meet and make meaningful connections!
